A HISTORIC HIGH GRADE GOLD MINE
Golden Rose is an iron-formation-hosted gold system with a demonstrated history of underground mining and high-grade gold production.
The mine operated between 1937 and 1941, during which approximately 130,850 tonnes were milled and approximately 45,400 ounces of gold were recovered, representing a historical recovered grade of approximately 10.8 g/t Au.
The property was redeveloped during the 1980s and returned to production in 1987-1988. Approximately 84,738 tonnes of mostly development material were milled during this period, producing a further 6,632 ounces of gold.
Together, the two operating periods account for approximately 52,000 ounces of documented historical gold production.
Importantly, historical records do not indicate that Golden Rose closed because the deposit had been exhausted. The original operation ceased during the Second World War, while redevelopment in the 1980s ended because of financial circumstances before mine development was completed.
GOLDEN ROSE GEOLOGY
High-Grade Gold Hosted In Banded Iron Formation
Gold mineralization at Golden Rose is associated with quartz-carbonate veining and sulphide replacement within Archean banded iron formation.
The property’s 2022 NI 43-101 Technical Report describes a favourable iron-formation horizon extending approximately 2.2 km across the historic mine property. This horizon hosts the Golden Rose deposit and remains under-explored.
This longitudinal section, looking north, provides a side-view of the historic Golden Rose Mine, showing historical drilling, underground infrastructure and gold intersections. The red intervals represent gold intersections ranging from greater than 1 g/t Au to greater than 10 g/t Au, with much of the historical drilling and development concentrated within approximately 200 metres of surface. Importantly, the section also highlights areas that remain open along strike and at depth, indicating opportunities for additional exploration beyond the historically tested areas.
Inventus’ review of the historical Golden Rose drill database identified the following top 10 highlight intercepts:
TOP 10 HIGHLIGHT INTERCEPTS
Inventus intends to leverage shared resources, technical expertise and regional infrastructure to efficiently advance Golden Rose alongside Pardo. The initial focus will be on validating the historical work and resource potential, while new exploration will evaluate opportunities to expand known mineralization and test the broader growth potential of the property. This approach allows Inventus to build on Golden Rose’s established foundation while exploring what remains undiscovered.
VALIDATING THE PAST
EXPLORING THE FUTURE
Major mines within Ontario’s >25 Moz gold camps extend to depths of approximately 1,000 to more than 3,000 metres. In comparison, historical exploration and mining at the Golden Rose Mine within the Temagami Greenstone Belt has been largely limited to the near-surface environment, highlighting the significant depth extent that remains largely untested.
A GOLDEN DISTRICT
Located approximately 14 km north of the Pardo Project, Golden Rose offers the potential for meaningful operating synergies as both projects advance.
Their close proximity may allow Inventus to leverage shared personnel, equipment, technical expertise, contractors, logistics and regional infrastructure, creating opportunities for greater efficiency across exploration and future development activities.
With Pardo advancing as the Company’s near-term development priority, Golden Rose adds a complementary high-grade gold asset within the same growing regional footprint.
